Help to Support our Filmmaking Project Promoting Worldwide Education

This summer Jane Hearst - professional filmmaker and business developer - will be helping the charity LRTT to spread the news of their voluntary teacher training programs overseas. Around the world, people do not have access to quality education. Every year volunteers attempt to help by offering their services for a short period of time, but what happens when they leave?

LRTT is a charity who send volunteers overseas, not to teach classes, but to teach teachers. They differ from other charities as their volunteering programs have a lasting effect.

By helping teachers overseas to grow and flourish, they can sustainably affect the lives of their community. In turn this offers their students the education they need, to make that first step towards becoming the doctors, scientists and entrepreneurs of the future. This is where Jane - CEO of The Curious Observer - comes in. The work that LRTT can deliver is limited if they cannot attract talented teachers from the UK onto their program. This year, as LRTT expands, a new program will be created in Laos. Jane's duty as a volunteer and a professional filmmaker, will be to document this program, to inspire teachers to enrol for years to come. Over the space of 20 days, she will film workshops, interviews and travel footage, to document the fantastic work of LRTT.

To prepare for the project, she has set up a gofundme page at: https://www.gofundme.com/lrtt-launch-in-loas-film-support

By contributing today, you would not only help Jane to be involved in this global movement, but you will have a lasting affect of the success of the LRTT program for years to follow. The more sponsors we receive, the higher the quality of films Jane can produce.

Some of you may be thinking "it sounds like you're just asking me to pay for you to go on holiday". Don't worry, we've already taken this into account. Here's what you will NOT be paying towards: - Vaccinations - Visas - Excursions - Spending money - Equipment that isn't absolutely necessary to complete the project. - Tuktuks and bus journeys And here's what you WILL be contributing towards:

- The program fee (yes that's right, Jane doesn't get paid, but she will pay to be involved - £995 to be exact)

- Travel to training days - Basic sound equipment (we only have camera equipment) - 1/3rd cost of flights and travel insurance for equipment. Sound reasonable? Let's put that in figures for you. The estimated cost of this trip overall will be £4,200. We have set a fundraising target of £2000, (the market value of films like this, if they were created in the UK).

Have any other questions? Leave a message in the comments below, or email Jane at j.hearst.jh@gmail.com Keep your eye out for updates, to follow the progress of the program and don't forget to share! Thank you for your support. P.S. Apply for teacher training with LRTT today and you can take £100 of the cost of Jane's trip for recommending. https://lrtt.org (Registered charity no: 1148464)
